"7/-i 5 AN ORDINANCE for licensing and establishing fees for harboring or having custody of animals in the City of Everett, establishing animal shelter fees, and amending Sections 2 and 3 of Ordinance NO. 3197 and Ordinance No. 3621 (E.M.c. 6. 04 . 020 and 6. 04 . 030) THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: Section 2 of Ordinance No. 3197 and Ordinance 3621 (E.M.C. 6. 04 . 020) is hereby amended in full to read hereafter as follows: "License Fees and Registration--Required. Any person owning, keeping, harboring or having custody of any animal over three months of age within this municipality, must obtain a license as herein provided. This provision shall not apply to the keeping of cats, small cage birds or aquatic and amphibian animals soley as pets. LICENSE FEE SCHEDULE: Dog Female-Unaltered $10. 00 Dog Male-Unaltered 8 . 00 Dog Male-Neutered 3. 00 Dog Female-Spayed 3. 00 Large Domestic Animals 10. 00 Unusual or exotic animals 25. 00 Replacement Licenses 1. 00 At the time of making application for said license, the owner shall state in said application on the printed form provided for such purpose, his name, address, the name breed, color and sex, of each animal kept by him. Upon presentation of such application and tender of the fee provided herein, the Clerk of the City of Everett or animal shelter personnel shall issue a license for such animal. Provisions of this section shall not apply to dogs brought into the City for the purposes of participating in any dog show nor to the seeing eye dogs property trained to assist blind persons when such dogs are actually being used by the blind persons for the purpose of aiding them in going from place to place. A penalty of 50o will be charged for licesnes purchased after March 1 or thirty days after obtaining possession of the aforementioned animal, whichever is later. "
