LI <br /> EVERETT <br /> WASHINGTON <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7383 <br /> A RESOLUTION establishing Prohibited Areas related to areas of drug trafficking. <br /> WHEREAS, on December 19, 2007,the Council enacted Ordinances related to <br /> Violations of Court Orders; and <br /> WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 3048-07 § 4, 2007 (EMC 10.13.040) requires that Stay Out <br /> of Drug Areas ("SODA") orders set forth Prohibited Areas that have been established by <br /> a resolution of the City Council, at a minimum update of every two years; and <br /> WHEREAS, due to the evolving nature of open air drug markets, the areas must be <br /> updated every two years to account for areas of the City that become or cease to be areas <br /> of drug trafficking; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Ordinances require that the establishment of the Prohibited Areas be <br /> supported by information from the Police Department in the form of one or more <br /> declarations and/or other sworn testimony; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council has reviewed the declaration of Sergeant Jeff <br /> Hendrickson, and/or has heard other sworn testimony; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That the City Council adopts the attached recommendations for Prohibited Areas related <br /> to areas of drug and trafficking. <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 5 day of June, 2019. <br /> 411. / - _ <br /> Coun dr'residen <br /> fi ,/ <br /> Co f ilmember Intro is ng Reso u '. <br />
