The purpose of this declaration is to provide information on current SODA areas. In my <br /> opinion, based on my training and experience, the current areas of the city that are <br /> designated Stay Out of Drug Areas should remain in their current designation. I do not <br /> recommend any additions to the SODA area at this time. <br /> -The area of North Broadway Avenue 700 through 1000 block and two blocks <br /> east and west is a current SODA area, and I believe should remain so for at <br /> the next two years. This area includes Everett Community College and <br /> Washington State University North. This area has grown significantly in size <br /> over the last two years to include student housing. The student population is a <br /> potential customer source for drug dealers.
