ORDINANCE N0.o36/- /: <br /> 1 . <br /> 2 AN ORDINANCE fixing rates and charges for <br /> 3 City of Everett water charges and repealing Sections <br /> 3 and 6 of Ordinance No. 4294; Sections 4 and 5 of <br /> 4 Ordinance No. 4218; Ordinance No. 4099; and Sections <br /> 38 and 72 of Ordinance No. 4085. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 7 ! <br /> 8 Section 1: Sprinkling Rates and Methods (E.C.C. 14.16.400) <br /> 9 A. Three fourths inch and one inch metered services within the city limits <br /> shall be eligible and receive sprinkling rates where the service is pro- <br /> 10 <br /> vided to a single or multiple unit dwelling or apartment house which has <br /> 11 a lawn normally requiring sprinkling during the summer months, provided <br /> 12 that premises having a permanent type swimming pool or other installation <br /> normally capable of utilizing an excessive amount of water shall not be <br /> 13 <br /> eligible for sprinkling rates. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 B. Rates outside city. Services outside the city limits shall be eligible <br /> and receive sprinkling rates where the service is provided through an <br /> 16 <br /> individual meter to single or multiple unit dwellings located on a <br /> 17 ' premises containing less than three-fourths acre in total area. The <br /> 18 premises shall have a lawn normally requiring sprinkling during the <br /> summer months, but to be eligible for sprinkling rates, premises shall <br /> 19 <br /> not have a permanent type swimming pool or other installation normally <br /> 20 capable of utilizing an excessive amount of water. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 C. Determination. The water department shall determine those services which <br /> shall be eligible for sprinkling rates. <br /> 23 !' <br /> 24 j! D. Computation. Sprinkling charges for May, June, July and August shall be <br /> 25 computed as follows: After the first six hundred cubic feet at four <br /> dollars and eighty cents ($4.80), all consumption over that amount shall <br /> 26 be at the rate of twenty-seven cents per one hundred cubic feet and the <br /> 27 <br /> amount so determined shall constitute the monthly billing for these months. <br /> 28 <br /> E. Use confined to premises. The use of water for sprinkling purposes shall <br /> 29 be confined to the limits of the premises for which the application for <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 ' <br />
