"1-7‘.-7 <br /> f <br /> AN ORDINANCE regulating dancing and other <br /> 1 activities within cabarets, taverns, cocktail <br /> lounges or any place where the public is invited <br /> 2 and providing penalties. <br /> 3 WHEREAS , certain establishments have permitted bare breasted performances <br /> 4 by females in taverns , and, <br /> 5 <br /> WHEREAS , the state law defining indecent exposure, lewdness and <br /> 6 <br /> obscenity is incapable of precise definition, and, <br /> 7 <br /> WHEREAS , such performances are detrimental to the public health, safety <br /> 8 <br /> 9 and welfare. <br /> 10 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN as follows: <br /> 11 SECTION 1: BARE BREASTED HUMAN FEMALES <br /> 12 No owner, manager or operator of a cabaret, tavern, cocktail lounge or <br /> 13 any place where the public is invited, shall knowingly permit or cause any human <br /> 14 female over the age of ten years to appear therein with one or both breasts wholly <br /> 15 <br /> or substantially exposed to public view. <br /> 16 <br /> SECTION 2: <br /> 17 <br /> Each day's violation of the provision of this ordinance shall be deemed <br /> 18 <br /> 19 a separate and distinct offense and any person convicted of violating this <br /> 20 ordinance shall be fined in an amount not exceeding five hundred dollars <br /> 21 ($500.00) , or imprisoned for a period not exceeding six (6) months, or both <br /> 22 such fine or punishment for each day's violation. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 <br /> 25 MAYOR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> 26 <br /> 27 <br /> 28 CitfClerk <br /> 29 Passed: lc' 17f <br /> 30 Valid: /C ' '7"- 7`"/ <br /> 31 Published: lam- 7-7L;/ <br /> 32 <br />
