• <br /> 1 <br /> Section 2: <br /> 2 — <br /> Each of the lots , tracts, parcels of land and other property shown <br /> 3 <br /> 4 upon the said roll is hereby determined and declared to be specially benefited by <br /> 5 said improvement in at least the amount charged against the same and the <br /> 6 assessment appearing against the same is in proportion to the several <br /> 7 assessments appearing upon said roll. There is hereby levied and assessed <br /> 8 against each lot, tract, parcel of land and other property appearing <br /> 9 <br /> upon said roll the amount finally charged against the same thereon. <br /> 10 <br /> Section 3: <br /> 11 <br /> The assessment roll as herein approved and confirmed shall be <br /> 12 <br /> 13 filed with the Treasurer of the City of Everett for collection and said <br /> 14 City Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to publish notice as <br /> 15 required by law stating that said roll is in his hands for collection and <br /> 16 payment of any assessment thereon or any portion of said assessment can be <br /> 17 made at any time within thirty days from the date of the first publication <br /> 18 of said notice without penalty, interest or additional cost, and that <br /> 19 <br /> thereafter the sum remaining unpaid may be paid in 20 equal annual installments <br /> 20 <br /> with interest thereon not to exceed eight percent (8%) per annum. The first <br /> 21 <br /> installment of assessments on said assessment roll shall become due and payable <br /> 22 <br /> 23 during the thirty-day period succeeding the date one year after the date <br /> 24 of first publication by the City Treasurer of notice that the assessment roll <br /> 25 is in his hands for collection and annually thereafter each succeeding <br /> 26 installment shall become due and payable in like manner. If the whole or any <br /> 27 portion of the assessments remains unpaid after the thirty-day period, <br /> 28 interest upon the whole unpaid sum shall be charged at a rate not to exceed <br /> 29 <br /> eight percent (8%) per annum and each year thereafter one of said <br /> 30 <br /> installments together with interest due on the whole of the unpaid balance, <br /> 31 <br /> 32 shall be collected.
