CONCLUSIONS BASED ON CALCULATIONS, AND FEDERAL
REGULATIONS
Base on my calculations and information supplied to me by Verizon
representatives, the proposed Verizon facility, designated as "SEAQ-
GARFIELD", will comply with current FCC and locl rules regarding public
exposure to radiofrequency electromacnetic fields.
This conclusion is based solely on the comparison of estimated RF exposure
conditions in specific areas with the corresponding safe sxposure limits set
forth in the FCC rules. The FCC exposure lirnits are based on
recommendations by federal and private en?ities with the appropriate expertise
in human safety issues.
The ensure full compliance with current FCC rules regarding human exposure
to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields, the Verizon transmitter shouid be
turned off whenever maintenance and repair personnel are required ta work in
the immediate vicinity of the Verizon antenna.
This safety procedure should apply to all future wireless iransmission facilities
at this site. Any lransmit antenna should be de-energized whenever
maintenance and repair personnel are required to work in the immediate vicinity
of that antenna aperture.
