Project: Process Water Pump Station
Change Order No.1
Change Order Effective Date: April 15, 2019
t "
CONTRACTOR , ,
By ' r Date: q/2 7 / ?
Officer
Exhibit A - Description of Changed Work
This Change Order No. 1 adds one new item to the Contract as shown below.
Added Item
New Item#4—Furnish Automatic Duplex Priming System.Add new item#4 entitled, "Furnish
Automatic Duplex Priming System"at the agreed to lump sum price of$38,725.00 by adding One(1)
to the Contract, resulting in a$38,725.00 increase to the Contract price. This price includes four(4)
additional priming valves and one(1) water trap.
JUSTIFICATION
New Item#4—Furnish Automatic Duplex Priming System. The current priming system in use at
the Process Water Pump Station is inadequate due, to the upgrades currently being constructed as part
of this project. The additional pumps being installed have higher inlet elevations and a larger
combined suction volume than the existing pumps, and therefore, a larger capacity pump priming
system is required to ensure that the water pumps remain in a flooded condition, which will provide
water for the WFP processes at all times, which is critical. This upgraded pump priming system
provides the increased priming capacity necessary to prime the new pump system at the City of Everett
Water Filtration Plant(WFP). This new item is being added to account for costs to purchase this
Automatic Duplex Priming System.
Total Cost of Change Order No. 1: $38,725.00
Contract Time: There are Thirty(30) Calendar days added to the Contract time in Change
Order No. 1,to allow for time to acquire, install, and test Automatic Duplex Priming System
onsite at the Process Water Pump Station.
