I. Any employee whose base salary under a previous schedule is <br /> greater than the base salary provided in the schedule contained <br /> in this Ordinance shall continue to receive the previous base <br /> pay; provided, however, that an employee working in a classification <br /> designated to be in a salary range prefaced by Range Number E <br /> shall continue to receive the previous base pay in accordance <br /> with a previous salary schedule only if the Mayor has not set the <br /> salary within the limits of salary Range E as provided in Section 2 <br /> (c) of this Ordinance. <br /> C. Range numbers prefaced by E are to be considered as minimum and <br /> maximum salary ranges within which the Mayor may set the salary to be <br /> paid an employee. Employees in pay range numbers prefaced by E are <br /> appointive officers. <br /> D. Range numbers prefaced by H are to be considered as hourly <br /> rates payable pursuant to applicable collective bargaining agreements. <br /> C.
