Jeff Heilman
To: Troy Eberle
Subject: RE: Revision - B1802-023
Mr. Eberle,
The changes you are proposing will require submittal of new plans reflecting the actual proposed structure as you intend
to build it. Modification of these plans with notes will not be allowed.
Furthermore, a lateral analysis prepared by a licensed WA State engineer for wind and seismic loading is required for
oLn. this structure.
Jeff Heilman
Development Technician
Permit Services
P:425-257-8810 / Direct:425-257-8976
Email: iheilman@everettwa.gov
Office: 3200 Cedar St. 2"d Floor, Everett WA 98201
Hours: Monday—Friday 7:30 am—12:00pm and 1:00pm—4:00 pm
www.everettwa.gov/permits
ILI ED
NOTICE: Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and may be subject to disclosure
pursuant to the Public Records Act.
From:Troy Eberle [mailto:troyeberle@gmail.com]
Sent:Tuesday, March 13, 2018 10:57 AM
To:Jeff Heilman <JHeilman@everettwa.gov>
Subject: Revision- B1802-023
Jeff,
I was told to contact you about a revision to our building permit application. We are building a detached garage
and were informed that garage we intended to build was taller than what is allowed. Rather than redrawing the
plans, I was hoping that the proposed changes could simply be noted on the existing plans. Here are the minor
changes we would like to make:
1) a monolithic foundation pour rather than footing/stem wall
2) shorten the wall studs on the second floor and move them towards the exterior walls, lengthen to top rafters
to meet the tops of the studs, thus lowering the roof without changing the proposed gambrel roof pitches
3)remove the posts down the centerline of the garage due to the fact we won't be using the upstairs for storage
4)use engineered trusses
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. We're trying to get this permit pushed though so we can
start work.
Thanks,
1
