r -h '• . ti • . i • L ' .I r <br /> Section 15 : Ambulance Contract <br /> The City Council recognizes that this ordinance places <br /> additional responsibilities on the ambulance company <br /> operating within the City to comply with all the re- <br /> quirements of this ordinance. The License Officer, or <br /> his designee, shall annually negotiate an agreement <br /> with the ambulance company to reimburse the ambulance <br /> company for the following expenses: <br /> A. The transportation of all persons, where transpor- <br /> tation was specially requested by an employee or offi- <br /> cer of the City of Everett, and where the bill is un- <br /> collectable. <br /> B. The additional costs incurred by the ambulance <br /> company which are specifically related to the Alert <br /> System and for which the ambulance company is not <br /> otherwise reimbursed. <br /> C. When, under the provisions of Section 14, an <br /> Everett Emergency Aid Car transports a person or per- <br /> sons, the licensed ambulance company serving the same <br /> geographical area shall be reimbursed by the City of <br /> Everett as if the licensed ambulance company had trans- <br /> ported the person or persons . <br /> Section 16 : Training <br /> All training of persons, in the City of Everett, for emer- <br /> gency medical care, except as provided in accredited medi- <br /> cal programs , shall be reviewed by the Emergency Services <br /> Advisory Committee. Certification of instructors for <br /> emergency medical care shall be done in the manner and <br /> method as determined by the License Officer after review- <br /> ing the recommendations of the Emergency Services Advisory <br /> Committee. <br /> All persons who intend to teach, instruct, or otherwise <br /> train persons in emergency medical care and who are work- <br /> ing for the City of Everett shall be certified by the <br /> Emergency Services Advisory Committee as instructor be- <br /> fore doing any teaching, instructing or training in emer- <br /> gency medical care to other employees of the City or to <br /> any citizens of the community. <br /> Section 17: Penalties <br /> A. Any person willfully violating or failing to comply <br /> with any provision of this Ordinance shall be deemed <br /> guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, <br /> shall be subject to the penalties imposed by the laws of <br /> the State of Washington for Commission of Misdemeanors . <br /> In any event, the fine may not exceed $500 or imprison- <br /> ment in the County jail for a term exceeding 90 days or <br /> both such fine and imprisonment. <br /> B. Each day that any violation of, or failure to com- <br /> ply with, this Ordinance is committed or permitted to <br /> continue, shall constitute a separate and distinct of- <br /> fense under this section and shall be punishable as such <br /> hereunder; provided, however, that the Court may, in <br /> appropriate cases , stay the cumulation of penalties . <br /> -12- <br />
