Chapter 10.12 3 (Ordinance No. 1589 Sections 1-11; 20-29) 4 5 THE CIT- OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN as follows: 6 ARTICLE I. HEALTH DISTRICT 7 Section 1: Health District Performing Health Duties 8 Pursuant to the provisions of RCW 76.43.020 et seq. , the Snohomish Health District, 9 created by a resolution of the Board of County Commissioners effective January 10 1, 1959, shall exercise all the powers and perform all the public health duties 11 by law vested in the City of Everett. Said Health District is authorized by 12 RCW 70.05.060 to enact such local rules and regulations as are necessary 13 14 in order to preserve, promote and improve the public health. 15 Section 2: Definition 16 For the purpose of this title, the following terms shall be defined as follows: 17 (a) Board of Health shall mean the Board of Health of the 18 Snohomish Health District pursuant to the provisions of Sections 70.46.010 and 70.46.040 Revised Code of Washington. 19 (b) Department of Health or Department shall mean the Snohomish 20 Health District Health Department. 21 (c) Health Officer shall mean the Snohomish Health District Health Officer appointed by the Board of Health. 22 23 (d) Sanitary Code or Code shall mean the Sanitary Code of the Snohomish County Board of Health as amended by the Snohomish 24 Health District Board of Health and approved by the Washington State Board of Health. 25 (e) Person shall mean an individual, firm, corporation or association. 26 27 ARTICLE II, PUBLIC OR COMMON NUISANCES 28 Section 1: Public Nuisances Affecting Health 29 The following are hereby declared to be nuisances affecting health: 30 (1) Decayed or unwholesome food offered for sale to the public. 31 (2) Diseased animals running at large. 32
