ORDINANCE NO. 02 Cv,g"73 <br /> AN ORDINANCE levying a tax on bingo, raffles, <br /> amusement games, punch boards and pull tabs <br /> 1 as authorized in Chapter 9.46 R.C.W. <br /> 2 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 3 <br /> Section 1: Tax on Bingo, Raffles and Amusement Games: There is <br /> 4 <br /> hereby levied upon and shall be collected from and paid as hereinafter provided <br /> 5 <br /> by every organization conducting bingo, raffles and amusement games as <br /> e <br /> 7 authorized pursuant to Chapter 9.46 R.0 .W. a "tax" in an amount of two (2) <br /> 8 percent of the gross revenue received from such bingo, raffles and amusement <br /> 9 games. <br /> 10 Section 2: Tax on Punch Boards and Pull Tabs: There is <br /> 11 hereby levied upon and shall be collected from and paid as hereinafter <br /> 12 <br /> provided by every person, association or organization utilizing punch <br /> 13 <br /> boards and pull tabs as authorized pursuant to Chapter 9.46 R.C.W. a tax <br /> 14 <br /> 15 of Five (5) mills of the gross income of the business in which the punch boards and <br /> 16 pull tabs are displayed. <br /> 17 Section 3: Definition of Terms: In construing the provisions of the <br /> 18 chapter, the following definitions shall be applied: <br /> 19 a. "Gross revenue or income" is defined as the total sum of <br /> 20 <br /> money or value received from the particular activity before <br /> 21 <br /> any deductions on account of operational and maintenance <br /> 22 <br /> expenses or any expense whatsoever, and without any <br /> 23 <br /> 24 deduction on account of losses. <br /> 25 b. The terms "bingo, raffles and amusement games" shall be used <br /> 26 herein as defined in Chapter 9.46 R.0 .W. <br /> 27 c. The terms "punch board and pull tabs" shall be used <br /> 28 herein as defined in Chapter 9.46 R.C .W. <br /> 29 <br /> Section 4: Tax Payments: <br /> 30 <br /> 31 a. QUARTERLY PAYMENTS of tax imposed by this chapter, shall <br /> 32 be due and payable in quarterly installments, and remittance <br />
