ORDINANCE NO. 02 Cv,g"73 AN ORDINANCE levying a tax on bingo, raffles, amusement games, punch boards and pull tabs 1 as authorized in Chapter 9.46 R.C.W. 2 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: 3 Section 1: Tax on Bingo, Raffles and Amusement Games: There is 4 hereby levied upon and shall be collected from and paid as hereinafter provided 5 by every organization conducting bingo, raffles and amusement games as e 7 authorized pursuant to Chapter 9.46 R.0 .W. a "tax" in an amount of two (2) 8 percent of the gross revenue received from such bingo, raffles and amusement 9 games. 10 Section 2: Tax on Punch Boards and Pull Tabs: There is 11 hereby levied upon and shall be collected from and paid as hereinafter 12 provided by every person, association or organization utilizing punch 13 boards and pull tabs as authorized pursuant to Chapter 9.46 R.C.W. a tax 14 15 of Five (5) mills of the gross income of the business in which the punch boards and 16 pull tabs are displayed. 17 Section 3: Definition of Terms: In construing the provisions of the 18 chapter, the following definitions shall be applied: 19 a. "Gross revenue or income" is defined as the total sum of 20 money or value received from the particular activity before 21 any deductions on account of operational and maintenance 22 expenses or any expense whatsoever, and without any 23 24 deduction on account of losses. 25 b. The terms "bingo, raffles and amusement games" shall be used 26 herein as defined in Chapter 9.46 R.0 .W. 27 c. The terms "punch board and pull tabs" shall be used 28 herein as defined in Chapter 9.46 R.C .W. 29 Section 4: Tax Payments: 30 31 a. QUARTERLY PAYMENTS of tax imposed by this chapter, shall 32 be due and payable in quarterly installments, and remittance
