ORDINANCE NO. 2-3A-='7.3 <br /> AN ORDINANCE requiring sidewalks on <br /> both sides of streets in subdivisions <br /> and amending E.C.C. 16.28.020 (c), <br /> 1 (Ordinance No. 4157 Sec. 7). <br /> 2 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett by Resolution No. 667 <br /> 3 <br /> directed the City Attorney to amend the subdivision ordinance to require <br /> 4 <br /> sidewalks on both sides of the street for all future subdivisions approved <br /> 5 <br /> for construction in the City of Everett. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: Everett City Code 16.28.020 Sec. C (Ordinance No. 4157 <br /> 8 <br /> Sec. 7) shall be amended to read hereafter as follows: <br /> 9 <br /> 10 "(c) Grading and surfacing. All rights-of-way shall <br /> be graded according to the profile established within <br /> 1 1 their confines, adequately crowned, and surfaced with <br /> materials as herein provided, the width of minimum design <br /> 12 standards. All surfacing shall be either asphaltic or P.C. <br /> concrete pavement, placed on a suitable gravel base. Thick- <br /> 13 ness of pavement and gravel base to be stipulated by the city <br /> engineer, after the classification and function of the proposed <br /> 14 street has been determined. P.C. concrete curbs and gutters <br /> shall be constructed on all streets; stormwater inlets and/or <br /> 15 catch basins with sufficient drain tile shall be placed where <br /> stipulated by the city engineer. <br /> 16 "(j) Portland Cement concrete sidewalks, at least four (4) <br /> 17 inches thick, at least five (5) feet wide and placed to <br /> sidewalk grade shall be constructed on both sides of the <br /> 18 street and around cul de sacs.
