The majority of our on-air time will be sitting on a couch talking, interacting with viewer
comments, and asking questions. Viewers will be voting live in a way that impacts the show. None of
the entertainment is remotely close to`adult',and no such content is allowed on the Twitch.tv platform
we are streaming on.
Five days week we will run an hour of cooking content. Two chefs will cook dishes as they would in their
homes. The ingredients and tools available to each chef will mostly be selected by viewers through live
voting, but they are multiple choice votes so we have control of the options which are limited to what
we have on hand. Each chef has a sink, and they share access to a home 4-burner stove and oven and a
microwave. We also have a couple of other appliances that may be plugged in and used from time to
time: A blender and a mini(very small)George foreman grill are typical examples.
The food cooked will vary from day to day,as it would in an average person's home or in a staff kitchen
at a workplace. We do not feature a particular type of cuisine. During our concept testing in my home
kitchen before I started the business, dishes created included a chicken thigh and vegetable soup, panko
breaded pork chop with fish sauce and raspberry jam sauce, and sausage and egg scramble.
Food will be cooked in pots and pans you would find in a home—cast iron skillets, frying pans, and pots
that are designed for home use. Food will not be cooked in a deep fryer. We will stock various oils for
use in small quantities—a tablespoon in a pan to sautee onions would be a heavy use,for example. Fats
used in cooking will change;sometimes it may be butter or lard.
We will not have amounts of oil to dispose of that are different than what a family would generate
cooking their own meals at home.
Let me know if there are specific additional questions you have.
Steve
