IN. <br /> ral <br /> EVERETT <br /> WASHINGTON <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3685-19 <br /> An Ordinance concerning the administrative procedures for review of Home <br /> Occupations,Amending Ordinance Nos. 2530-01 and 1671-89, as amended <br /> WHEREAS,Title 15, Local Project Review Procedures, and Title 19, Zoning, require the granting <br /> of home occupation permits for persons conducting business from their homes in Everett; <br /> WHEREAS, the City's administrative review of home occupations typically includes a zoning <br /> verification and review of a business license application, but does not include issuance of a home <br /> occupation permit; and <br /> WHEREAS, there is a need for consistency between the City's review procedures contained in Titles 15 <br /> and 19, and the City's standard practices for review of home occupations; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Planning Commission held a public hearing on March 19, 2019 to discuss and consider <br /> amendments to the Local Project Review Procedures and Zoning Code necessary to ensure <br /> consistency between the regulations and the City's actual administrative procedures for home <br /> occupations; and <br /> WHEREAS, legal notice of the City Council public hearing was timely published in The Herald; <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council held a public hearing to consider public testimony and complete a review <br /> of the suggested amendments; <br /> WHEREAS,the proposed amendments will ensure Titles 15 and 19 of the Everett Municipal Code will <br /> be consistent with the City's standard administrative procedures for review of home occupations; <br /> WHEREAS,the proposed amendments to Title 15 of the Everett Municipal Code are consistent with <br /> the city's Comprehensive Plan; <br /> WHEREAS,the proposed amendments bear a substantial relation to public health, safety or welfare; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS,the proposed amendments promote the best long-term interests of the Everett <br /> community. <br /> Home Occupations—Titles 15 and 19 Page 1 <br /> May 2019 <br />
