PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTIMATE REVIEW
Project Title:
CT SWIFT II BRT— Boeing to Canyon Park Stations 90% Review
Job Charge: Reviewed By: Office&Mail Stop: Phone: Date: Sheet
WO# Euneka Richards Traffic Operations 425-257-8926 1-18-17 1 of 2
shtiPg Reviewer's Comment Designer's Response Init.
1 C0.02 Please change the City of Everett Utility Contact from Euneka Richards to
Kirk Brooks with phone number(425) 257-8814
2 TS-9.1 Please change the 2"d to last paragraph in C Note 1 to the following:
"Remove existing Type PPB post and curb base foundation and salvage
Type PPB post to City of Everett Signal Shop."
3 TS-10.1 Please change C Note 1 to read: "Remove and dispose of existing
conventional..."
4 TS-10.1 Please change C Note 2 to read: "Remove and dispose of existing
conventional (Dummy) Type..."
5 General, Everett Standards for when to install APS stipulate that if you are going to
TS-10.2 relocate a ped push button you must upgrade that button to APS. You
cannot relocate a non-APS push button to a PPB pole. We have recently
also married our curb ramp upgrades to our APS upgrades to prevent having
pay twice for sidewalk removal and installation work. Both of these
standards require your project to upgrade the ped push button for ped signal
89 to an APS button. We do not want to force projects that are only
disturbing one corner to have to install PPB poles and APS on all corners, so
our standards call for APS upgrades to occur on a crossing by crossing
basis using the Polara Navigator 4 wire system and PPB poles are only
required where you are doing curb ramp or side walk work. Following this
standard you are also required to upgrade the button for ped signal 88 but
that button can be installed on the signal pole at a height of 36". You can
call me to discuss any pertinent details at 425-257-8926 if you have any
questions, but the remaining comments will be concerning changes plan
sheet TS-10.2 to follow Everett Standards for installing APS. I am aware
that Ryan Sass and June Devoll spoke regarding other former comments
asking for APS at Airport Rd and Kasch Park. I did verify with Ryan that my
comment here is valid and does not conflict with the conversations he had
with June regarding APS at Airport Rd— Kasch Park.
6 TS-10.2 Please change Pole Note 1 to"install a Ped Pushbutton Station (4-wire
Type)with sign arrow pointing towards street and parallel with the
associated crosswalk instead of the salvaged dummy not APS button for ped
89.
CT SWIFT II Busstops-EunekaR-90% Reviewx i 1 3
