Any inconsistency in the parts of the contract shall be resolved by following this order of <br /> precedence (e.g., 1 presiding over 2, 2 over 3, 3 over 4, and so forth): <br /> 1. Addenda, <br /> 2. Proposal Form, <br /> 3. Special Provisions, <br /> 4. Contract Plans, <br /> 5. Amendments to the Standard Specifications, <br /> 6. Standard Specifications, <br /> 7. Contracting Agency's Standard Plans or Details (if any), and <br /> 8. WSDOT Standard Plans for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction <br /> 1-04.4 Changes <br /> 1-04.4(1) Minor Changes <br /> Section 1-04.4(1), including title, is revised to read as follows: <br /> 1-04.4(1) Unexpected Site Changes <br /> Payments or credits for changes amounting to $15,000 or less may be made under the <br /> Bid item "Unexpected Site Changes". At the discretion of the Contracting Agency, this <br /> procedure for Unexpected Site Changes may be used in lieu of the more formal <br /> procedure as outlined in Section 1-04.4, Changes. <br /> The Contractor will be provided a copy of the completed order for Unexpected Site <br /> Changes. The agreement for the Unexpected Site Changes will be documented by <br /> signature of the Contractor, or notation of verbal agreement. If the Contractor is in <br /> disagreement with anything required by the order for Unexpected Site Changes, the <br /> Contractor may protest the order as provided in Section 1-04.5. <br /> Payments will be determined in accordance with Section 1-09.6. For the purpose of <br /> providing a common Proposal for all Bidders, the Contracting Agency has entered an <br /> amount for"Unexpected Site Changes" in the Proposal to become a part of the total Bid <br /> by the Contractor. Credits will be determined in accordance with Section 1-09.4. <br /> 1-05 CONTROL OF WORK <br /> 1-05.4 Conformity With And Deviations From Plans And Stakes <br /> Section 1-05.4 is supplemented with the following: <br /> Contractor Surveying <br /> The Contractor shall be responsible for setting, maintaining, and resetting all alignment <br /> stakes, slope stakes, and grades necessary for the construction of the roadway, drainage, <br /> retaining walls, surfacing, paving, channelization and pavement marking, illumination and <br /> signals, guardrails and barriers, and signing. Except for the survey control data to be <br /> furnished by the Contracting Agency, calculations, surveying, and measuring required for <br /> setting and maintaining the necessary lines and grades shall be the Contractor's <br /> responsibility.
