Conduit Coatings <br /> GRS Conduit fittings shall be coated with galvanizing repair paint in the same 39 manner as <br /> conduit couplings. Electroplated fittings are not allowed. <br /> Conduit entering concrete shall be wrapped in 2-inch wide pipe wrap tape with a minimum 1 <br /> inch overlap for 12 inches on each side of the concrete face. The tape shall have a synthetic <br /> rubber adhesive with a fungus inhibitor. <br /> Surface Mounting Conduit Attachment Components <br /> Conduit clamp shall be hot-dip, galvanized steel or stainless steel, and shall be one piece, two <br /> bolt units with locking nuts. The clamps shall be attached to the unistrut on both sides of the <br /> conduit with bolts and associated hardware. The minimum distance between adjacent clamps <br /> and between the clamp and the end of the unistrut shall be 1 inch. <br /> Conduit Expansion and/or Deflection Fitting <br /> Expansion fittings, deflection fittings, and expansion/deflection fittings embedded in concrete <br /> shall be PVC coated. <br /> 9-29.1(5) Innerduct and Outerduct <br /> Section 9-29.1(5) is deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following: <br /> Innerduct shall be a fabric, multi-celled, textile product. Innerduct shall be installed in 10 <br /> continuous lengths without intermediate splices throughout the project, except at the location(s) <br /> specified in the Plans, or as approved in writing by the Engineer. <br /> The Contractor shall comply with the innerduct manufacturer's specifications and recommended <br /> procedures to install and terminate the innerduct system. <br /> Except as noted in the following pre-approved list of this section, samples of innerduct shall be <br /> submitted to the Engineer for approval. <br /> Pre-approved list: <br /> MaxCell MXC series Innerduct <br /> 9-29.2 Junction Boxes, Cable Vaults, and Pull Boxes <br /> 9-29.2(1) (A) Standard Duty and (B)Heavy-Duty Junction Boxes <br /> Section 9-29.2(1) is supplemented with the following: <br /> All junction box lids and frames shall be galvanized. Grounding lugs shall be stainless steel and <br /> shall be mechanically and electrically bonded. <br /> 9-29.3 Fiber Optic Cable, Electrical Conductors, and Cable <br /> 9-29.3 (1) Fiber Optic and Copper Cable <br /> Section 9-29.3(1) is supplemented with the following: <br /> Swift Green Line—Corridor Stations Special Provisions SP193 <br /> May 2017 <br />
