<br /> NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
<br /> ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
<br /> Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the Phil Johnson Ballfields Renovation will be received at the office of the City
<br /> Clerk, 1st Floor Wall Street Building,2930 Wetmore, Everett,Washington 98201, until 2:00 p.m.on Tuesday,April 2,2019.
<br /> At the appointed time, all bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in an assigned conference room on the 8th floor of
<br /> the Wall Street Building. The engineer's estimate for this Project is$3,102,150.
<br /> Work being performed includes, but is not limited to,furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to renovate
<br /> four baseball/softball fields and construction of a new parking lot. Work includes but is not limited to, removal of existing
<br /> synthetic turf infill, turf, and portions of the existing base rock, stripping of sod, removal of outfield topsoil, removal of
<br /> existing clay infield mix,fencing/gate modifications,drainage renovation,new concrete curbing,new elastic layer,and new
<br /> synthetic turf and infill and performing all Work as required by the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Plans and
<br /> Contract Provisions.
<br /> Two MANDATORY pre-bid walk-through meetings are scheduled at 11:00 AM,Thursday, March 14, 2019 and Thursday,
<br /> March 21,2019 at the site at 400 Seivers Duecy Blvd, Everett,WA. All interested bidders must attend. Bidders must sign
<br /> the sign-in sheet. Bids from bidders who do not attend the pre-bid meeting and sign the sign-in sheet will be
<br /> automatically rejected. Any questions and/or answers that may affect the bid will be included in an addendum to the bid
<br /> documents and sent to all the planholders.
<br /> Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime
<br /> Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and
<br /> "City of Everett". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to:download,
<br /> view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is
<br /> recommended that Bidders "Register" in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place
<br /> themselves on the"Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda
<br /> and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. Contact Builders Exchange of
<br /> Washington at(425)258-1303 should you require assistance with access or registration.
<br /> All bids must be made upon the regular forms provided for this purpose and must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified
<br /> check in an amount not less than five percent(5%)of the total amount of the Bid.
<br /> The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities. No Bidder may withdraw
<br /> his Bid after the hour set for the opening thereof. The City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in
<br /> the best interest of the City. The right is reserved by the City to postpone the award for a period of forty-five(45)days after
<br /> bid opening.
<br /> The Contractor will be required to comply with all local, State, and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to equal
<br /> employment opportunities.
