This assembly <br /> calls for two 518" thick Type 'X' layers of gypsum wallboard (GWB)on the interior face. (Note: we are removing <br /> most o(the interior GWB from the north units.) <br /> However, the original construction documents ("Proposed Mini-Storage Building at Smith Avenue, Everett" by <br /> Structural �esign and Associates originally dated April 14, 1986 with Revisions dated May 13 and May 23, 1986 <br /> � are attached with our permit submittal drawings) call for the north and south exterior walls to be "1-HOUR <br /> FIREWALL with 8" Steel Girts with one (1) layer of 518" Type 'X' gypsum attached to each side with screws at <br /> 12" o.c.—GA WP45•1HR (F)". It is our understanding that this assembly has been approved by other local <br /> municipalities (as reported by the building supplier, CIC). Refer to Sheet 2 of the original construction <br /> documents. <br /> We are requesting to reinstall the one layer of 518"Type 'X' gypsum wallboard on the interior side of the wall to <br /> match the 1-Hour requirements of the original construction documents. <br /> Please call if you have any qucstions or require additional information. <br /> Michael P.
