./—No"; <br /> CITY OF EVERETT <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 6685 <br /> A Resolution Adopting the Comprehensive Plan Audit and <br /> Public Involvement Plan for the Ten Year Update of the Everett Comprehensive Plan <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett City Council reviewed the Comprehensive Plan Audit and <br /> Citizen Participation Plan for the 10 year update of the Everett Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, Planning Commission held a public workshop on October 15, 2013 on the Audit <br /> and a public hearing on the Audit and Public Involvement Plan on November 12, 2013, and <br /> adopted a resolution recommending that City Council approve the Audit and Public Involvement <br /> Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, City Council held a public hearing on the Audit and Public Involvement Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, City Council is committed to active and meaningful citizen participation in the <br /> update of the Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS,the 10 year Comprehensive Plan update schedule has been established recognizing <br /> that citizen participation is an important and key component of the development of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan. The goal is to have the updated plan adopted in mid-2015. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds: <br /> 1. The Comprehensive Plan Audit comprises the section and elements of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan and development regulations which need updating. <br /> 2. Additional docket requests may be submitted by July 1,2014 and will be reviewed by <br /> Planning Commission at that time for addition to the Audit. <br /> 3. The Public Involvement Plan is the minimum effort for citizen participation in the <br /> Comprehensive Plan development and its implementation. If through the Comprehensive <br /> Plan update there are additional efforts which are desirable,the City Council <br /> recommends that additional efforts be made by the city and this resolution is not intended <br /> to limit additional participation efforts. <br />
