./—No"; CITY OF EVERETT CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 6685 A Resolution Adopting the Comprehensive Plan Audit and Public Involvement Plan for the Ten Year Update of the Everett Comprehensive Plan WHEREAS,the City of Everett City Council reviewed the Comprehensive Plan Audit and Citizen Participation Plan for the 10 year update of the Everett Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, Planning Commission held a public workshop on October 15, 2013 on the Audit and a public hearing on the Audit and Public Involvement Plan on November 12, 2013, and adopted a resolution recommending that City Council approve the Audit and Public Involvement Plan; and WHEREAS, City Council held a public hearing on the Audit and Public Involvement Plan; and WHEREAS, City Council is committed to active and meaningful citizen participation in the update of the Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS,the 10 year Comprehensive Plan update schedule has been established recognizing that citizen participation is an important and key component of the development of the Comprehensive Plan. The goal is to have the updated plan adopted in mid-2015. WHEREAS, the City Council finds: 1. The Comprehensive Plan Audit comprises the section and elements of the Comprehensive Plan and development regulations which need updating. 2. Additional docket requests may be submitted by July 1,2014 and will be reviewed by Planning Commission at that time for addition to the Audit. 3. The Public Involvement Plan is the minimum effort for citizen participation in the Comprehensive Plan development and its implementation. If through the Comprehensive Plan update there are additional efforts which are desirable,the City Council recommends that additional efforts be made by the city and this resolution is not intended to limit additional participation efforts.
