City of Everett 01 5700 - 1 <br /> 2019 Biosolids Removal UT3705-2 <br /> I <br /> SECTION 01 5700 -TEMPORARY CONTROLS <br /> PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> 1.1 SECTION INCLUDES <br /> A. This section covers the requirements for compliance with environmental precautions and <br /> controls and includes the following: <br /> 1. Monitoring and protection of air quality, including dust control <br /> 2. Monitoring and protection from noise pollution <br /> 3. Oil, Fuel, and Chemical Storage, Handling, Spill Prevention, and Control <br /> measures. <br /> 1.2 RELATED SECTION <br /> A. All sections included in these specifications. <br /> 1.3 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Within 10 days of Notice to Proceed, the Contractor shall submit a Pollution Control Plan. <br /> 1 The Plan shall include but is not limited to: <br /> 1. Oil, Fuel, and Chemical Storage, Handling, Spill Prevention and Control Measures. <br /> 1.4 NOTIFICATIONS RELATIVE TO CONTRACTOR'S ACTIVITIES <br /> A. The Contractor shall plan and schedule work activities to conform to and allow time for <br /> notifications, approvals, reviews, and other conditions of the Contract Documents. <br /> Contractor to notify City of any spills or discharges on- or off-site related to the Work. <br /> 1.5 PREVENTION OF ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION AND PRESERVATION OF PUBLIC <br /> NATURAL RESOURCES <br /> A. During the life of the Contract, the Contractor shall comply with all provisions of federal, <br /> State and local statutes including the City of Everett Storm Water Manual, Design and <br /> Construction Standards, ordinances and regulations pertaining to the prevention of <br /> environmental pollution and the preservation of public natural resources. Pursuant to <br /> RCW 39.04.120 such provisions as are reasonably obtainable are set forth below. <br /> Further, if the Contractor must undertake extra work not contemplated by the Contract, <br /> due to the enactment of new, or the amendment of existing, statutes, ordinances, rules, <br /> or regulations occurring after the submission of the successful Bid, the will issue a <br /> Change Order setting forth the extra work that must be undertaken, which shall not <br /> invalidate the Contract. <br /> 1.6 WATER QUALITY <br /> 01 5700 - 1 TEMPORARY CONTROLS <br /> I <br />
