• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. l 7 z)--- 7/ <br /> AN ORDINANCE appropriating an additional $108, 000. 00 <br /> to the police pension fund of the 1971 budget for the <br /> City of Everett,decreasing the 1971 budget appropriation <br /> for capital outlay by $108, 000. 00 and declaring an <br /> emergency to exist. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council now finds that at the time of making the budget <br /> for 1971, the appropriation necessary to meet the City's statutory obligation with <br /> regard to police pensions (1971 budget item 521-80-000-13) was underestimated by <br /> $108, 000. 00, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Council finds that $108, 000. 00 is available by decreasing the <br /> 1971 appropriation for capital outlay by $108, 000. 00, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: The sum of $108, 000. 00 is hereby appropriated and allocated to <br /> the 1971 budget for the City of Everett, which shall be in addition to that amount <br /> otherwise budgeted for the year 1971 for the purpose of police pension (budget item <br /> 521-80-000-13). <br /> Section 2: The 1971 budget appropriation for capital outlay is hereby decreased <br /> by $108, 000. 00, specifically deleting or reducing the following capital allocations: <br /> Engineering Sewer Service (033 334 50000 64) <br /> • <br /> Section 3: The appropriations above provided shall be paid from available funds <br /> or by the issuance of warrants, or emergency warrants, as the case may be, and <br /> shall be paid from any moneys on hand in the City Treasury and the fund properly <br /> chargeable for such expenditures. If there is not sufficient available funds, then <br /> by the issuance of emergency warrants which shall be registered and be called in the <br /> manner of other City warrants. <br /> Section 4: That an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance <br /> shall take effect upon itsbecoming valid. <br /> 144-4-11 <br /> MAYOR <br /> ATTEST: <br /> / City Clerk <br /> Passed: / y - 7 / <br /> Valid: / - `7 - <br /> Published: ( — <br />
