, =gyp :./7 6 _ 7/ <br /> a <br /> •.r <br /> ORDINANCE NO. / i-7 <br /> AN ORDINANCE levying the general taxes for the City of Everett for <br /> the fiscal year commencing January 1, 1972 on all taxable property, both <br /> real and personal, in said City, subject to taxation thereon, for the <br /> purpose of raising a portion of the revenue to carry on the different <br /> departments of said City for the ensuing year, as required by the Charter <br /> of the City of Everett and the laws of the State of Washington; prescribing <br /> and apportioning the same into the different funds of said City for the <br /> fiscal year, and providing for the collection thereof. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett duly and regularly adopted as <br /> required by law the estimate of the amounts required to meet the public expense <br /> of said City for the ensuing year and the amount to be raised by taxation in said <br /> City for said ensuing year from sources other than direct taxation, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett will be required to pay the sum of $334, 415. 00 <br /> during the year 1972 upon its General Obligation 1967 Street Improvement Bonds <br /> for payment of principal and interest, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That there be, and hereby is, levied upon real and personal <br /> property in the City of Everett, subject to taxation thereon, a general <br /> property tax for municipal purposes for the ensuing year commencing <br /> on January 1, 1972 in the sum of $5, 086, 771. 00 allocated as follows: <br /> General Current Expense Fund $4, 433, 820. 00 <br /> Firemen's Pension Fund 318, 536. 00 <br /> General Obligation 1967 Street Im- <br /> provement Bond, Principal & Interest 334, 415. 00 <br /> $5, 086, 771. 00 <br /> Section 2: That the City Clerk be, and he is hereby, directed to certify <br /> to the County Assessor a copy of this ordinance in order that the same <br /> be extended upon the General assessment roll of said County, in the same <br /> rpanner and at the same time as the levy for state and county taxes is <br /> extended. <br /> Section 3: That said taxes shall be collected and paid to the City Treasurer <br /> at the same time and in the same manner as provided by the laws of the <br /> State of Washington relating to collection of taxes in cities of the first <br /> class. <br /> k - C........L. <br /> ayor <br /> ,,7C 4/Lit <br /> D PUIY City Clerk <br /> Passed: 0c � / 3lti � / <br /> Valid: ac / /y' .7/ <br /> Published: Q ,C ;. /6-( / G7 <br />
