ORDINANCE NO. t—9- 7/ <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 300 (b) of Ordinance No. 123-71 <br /> (E. C. C. 46. 61. 975) , entitled "An Ordinance relating to and regulat- <br /> ing motor vehicles, traffic, travel, and transportation and their <br /> incidents upon the public streets, bicycle paths, and other ways open <br /> to the public within the City of Everett; prescribing the powers and duties <br /> of officers and others in relation thereto; defining offenses; providing <br /> penalties and repealing ordinance numbers 202, 264, 1184, 1574, 2129, <br /> 3179, 3211, 3527, 3648, 3781, 3940, 4049, 4078, 4204, 44-69, 68-70, <br /> 83-70 and all amendments thereof, and repealing all other ordinances, <br /> or parts of ordinances of the City of Everett in conflict herewith. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 300 (b) of Ordinance No. 123-71 (E. C. C. 46. 61. <br /> 975) is hereby amended in full to read hereafter as follows: <br /> Section 300 (b) 46. 61. 975 Penalties for Parking and parking meter <br /> violations. Except as expressly provided, penalties for overtime <br /> parking and parking meter violations shall be $. 50 for tickets paid <br /> on the same calendar date in which they are received, $1. 00 when <br /> paid on the following six calendar days and $2. 00 thereafter. All other <br /> parking violations except as expressly provided shall be subject to a <br /> penalty of three dollars ($3. 00). Any person who fails or refuses upon <br /> notice to pay said penalty shall be subject to civil suit brought in <br /> any court of the State of Washington to collect said penalties and shall <br /> be responsible in addition thereto for reasonable attorney's fees and <br /> costs of court. Said penalty, attorney's fees and costs shall be collectible <br /> by the same means as any other civil judgment.
