ORDINANCE NO. t—9- 7/ AN ORDINANCE amending Section 300 (b) of Ordinance No. 123-71 (E. C. C. 46. 61. 975) , entitled "An Ordinance relating to and regulat- ing motor vehicles, traffic, travel, and transportation and their incidents upon the public streets, bicycle paths, and other ways open to the public within the City of Everett; prescribing the powers and duties of officers and others in relation thereto; defining offenses; providing penalties and repealing ordinance numbers 202, 264, 1184, 1574, 2129, 3179, 3211, 3527, 3648, 3781, 3940, 4049, 4078, 4204, 44-69, 68-70, 83-70 and all amendments thereof, and repealing all other ordinances, or parts of ordinances of the City of Everett in conflict herewith. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Section 300 (b) of Ordinance No. 123-71 (E. C. C. 46. 61. 975) is hereby amended in full to read hereafter as follows: Section 300 (b) 46. 61. 975 Penalties for Parking and parking meter violations. Except as expressly provided, penalties for overtime parking and parking meter violations shall be $. 50 for tickets paid on the same calendar date in which they are received, $1. 00 when paid on the following six calendar days and $2. 00 thereafter. All other parking violations except as expressly provided shall be subject to a penalty of three dollars ($3. 00). Any person who fails or refuses upon notice to pay said penalty shall be subject to civil suit brought in any court of the State of Washington to collect said penalties and shall be responsible in addition thereto for reasonable attorney's fees and costs of court. Said penalty, attorney's fees and costs shall be collectible by the same means as any other civil judgment. Any person who shall operate a motor vehicle on the streets of the City of Everett shall be deemed thereby to have consented to pay all court costs including a reasonable attorney's fee for actions brought to collect penalties imposed by this chapter if he is found to have been in violation of said chapter.
