ORDINANCE NO. /51 - 7/ <br /> AN ORDINANCE authorizing construction of an Operation <br /> Support Facility for the City of Everett, declaring <br /> the total estimated cost, creating a special fund account <br /> and authorizing issuance of interim warrants for the <br /> financing of said facility. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett finds that existing facilities <br /> and structures for the Water, Sewer, Street, Park and Transit Departments are <br /> outdated, overused and unsafe, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett finds that combining the <br /> offices, storage yards, warehouses, motor vehicle repair, general repair and <br /> vehicle storage facilities of the Water, Sewer, Street, Park and Transit <br /> Departments into a central Operation Support Facility will simplify the task of <br /> management of said departments, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett finds that to accomplish <br /> the required replacement of existing facilities into a central facility, the con- <br /> struction of a new Operation Support Facility is required. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Sect ion 1: Construction of an Operation Support Facility to be built <br /> at the site of the present Water Department Shops and yard is hereby authorized. The <br /> facility shall be designed and constructed for the purposes of combining the <br /> offices, storage yards, warehouses, motor vehicle repair, general repair and <br /> vehicle storage facilities of the Water, Sewer, Street, Park and Transit Departments. <br /> Section 2: The total estimated cost of said facility is hereby declared to be <br /> $900, 000. 00, including architect's fees and costs of establishing financing. <br /> It is the intent of the City Council that the Council will authorize Councilmanic <br /> Bonds based on the existing credit of the City <br /> Section 3: A special fund account is hereby established for the financing <br /> of expenses relating to the construction of said support facility, which shall be <br /> called the Operation Support Facility Account. <br /> Section 4: Pending issuance of the bonds to be authorized by the City <br /> Council, interim warrants may be issued against the Operation Support Facility <br /> Account to bear interest at the rate of Six % to be payable out of the <br /> proceeds of the sale of bonds within nine (9) months, but not to exceed eighteen <br /> (18) months. <br /> Rfrei eL <br /> G <br /> MAYOR <br /> Passed: g -4-- -7 / Dowty City Cock <br /> Valid: I C, 7 <br /> Published: f - ) - 7/ <br />
