At (6) column locations the embedment depth of 15" could not be achieved. The contractor <br /> contacted the structural engineer for approval to install at a reduced embedment depth. Per letter from Peter <br /> Kwei, P.E. with KWEI Consulting Engineers, it is acceptable to embed the 1" diameter threaded rods at a depth of <br /> 12". Holes were inspected for size, depth, spacing, clearance and cleanliness, and were cleaned per the <br /> manufacturer's recommendations.
