Senator Cantwell's initial lease of office space in the EMB was for a three-year term beginning in 2003. Subsequent lease agreements have provided a term of six years. Senator Cantwell's most recent lease approved by Council was for the term beginning January 3, 2013 through January 2, 2019. The attached proposed Lease provides for a six -year term beginning January 3, 2019 and ending January 2, 2025. The proposed rate per square foot is $27.32 (increased from $24.85 per square foot). The current parking rate for a parking stall in the EMB garage is $75 per month. The total proposed monthly rental rate, with parking, is $771.66 per month. Except for the increase in rent and the 2019 adjustment to monthly parking fees, no other material changes have been made to any prior lease provisions. RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Mayor to execute the Lease Agreement with Senator Maria Cantwell for space at 2930 Wetmore Avenue. 0
