Description Demand Water System Purpose
20-Year Fire Flow, 20-Year Existing system+ Evaluate 20-year fire flow deficiencies after
Steady State Maximum Day improvements to incorporating all 10-year CIP projects to
plus fire flow solve existing and 10- identify projects for 20-year CIP
year deficiencies
20-Year Peak 20-Year Peak Existing system+ Evaluate 20-year peak hour deficiencies
Hour,Steady State Hour improvements to after incorporating all 10-year CIP projects
solve existing and 10- to identify projects for 20-year CIP
year deficiencies
2. Water age analysis of existing system.
a. Using the City's existing model set up for extended period simulations (EPS) as a
template, set up the model calibrated for this WSP effort to do EPS runs.
b. Using the existing system with existing average day demand applied to the diurnal
curve currently in the City's EPS model. Complete a water age model run.
c. Prepare technical memorandum summarizing analysis and results.
3. Transmission system analysis
a. Meet with City to discuss proposed north-south transmission main connecting the
north and south transmission corridors and specific modeling scenarios required.
b. Update model with proposed transmission main.
c. Complete modeling scenarios to determine change in pressures in the transmission
system given proposed transmission pipe and determine ability to operate
transmission system if portions of the existing transmission system have to be taken
out of service. All scenarios will be steady-state model runs. Up to four scenarios will
be modeled and evaluated.
d. Prepare technical memorandum summarizing analysis and results.
4. Develop Table of Capital Improvements for inclusion in final CIP listing.
5. Develop map with locations of the CIP items included in the final list.
System Analysis Chapter
1. Prepare CWP chapter covering the storage capacity analyses, model update, demand
allocation, calibration, and modeling runs.
2. Include a water system physical capacity table based on Worksheet 6-1 of the DOH Water
System Design Manual.
3. Develop 11x17 maps showing the location of distribution system deficiencies for the current,
10-year and 20-year planning periods.
4. Develop 11x17 maps that show the locations of the CIP projects included in the final CIP list.
Everett Comprehensive Water Plan June 12, 2019
Exhibit A—Scope of Services Page 21 of 30
