• , • ORDINANCE NO. 7/ AN ORDINANCE approving and confirming the assessments and assessment roll of Local Improvement District No. 689, which was created for the improvement of Madison Street from Jefferson Street to Wetmore Avenue by the construction of 5. 0 feet wide concrete sidewalks together with the necessary appurtenances, as provided by Ordinance No. 85-70, and levying and assessing the amount thereof against the several lots, tracts, parcels of land and other property shown on said roll. WHEREAS, the assessment roll levying the special assessments against properties located in Local Improvement District No. 689 in the City of Everett, Washington, created under Ordinance No. 85-70 has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Everett, Washington, as provided by law; and WHEREAS, notice of the time and place of hearing thereon and of making objections and protests to said roll was duly published at and for the time and in the manner provided by law, fixing the time and place of hearing thereon for the 24th day of February, 1971, at the hour of 7:00 p. m. (PST), in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Everett, Washington, and further notice thereof was duly mailed by the City Clerk to each property owner shown on said roll; and WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed and designated in said notice, the hearing was duly held and all written protests received were duly considered and no persons appeared at said hearing, and the City Council being fully advised in the premises, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: The assessments and assessment roll of Local Improvement District No. 689, which has been created and established for the purpose of the improvement of Madison Street from Jefferson Street to Wetmore Avenue by the construction of 5. 0 feet wide concrete sidewalk together with necessary appurtenances, as provided by Ordinance No. 85-70, including the provision for issuance of bonds therefor, as the same now stand, be and the same are hereby in all things and respects approved and confirmed. Section 2: Each of the lots, tracts, parcels of land and other property shown upon the said roll is hereby determined and declared to be specially benefitted by said improvement in at least the amount charged against the same and the assessment appearing against the same is in proportion to the several assessments appearing upon said roll. There is hereby levied and assessed against each lot, tract, parcel of land and other property appearing upon said roll the amount finally charged against the same thereon. Page 1
