. <br /> • <br /> • <br /> Section 5: That there is hereby added to Volume I, Uniform Building <br /> Code, 1970 Edition, the following section entitled 1715: <br /> "Section 1715 - Anchors to frames of windows <br /> On all buildings of two or more stories, anchors of <br /> rust resistant material shall be attached to the side <br /> frames of windows or buildings for safety of window <br /> washers and as anchors for scaffolding. Such anchors <br /> shall be so constructed as to be reasonably safe for the <br /> purpose intended. Compliance with the general safety <br /> standards of the Department of Labor and Industries of <br /> the State of Washington shall be prima facie evidence <br /> of compliance with this requirement. " <br /> Section 6: That Ordinance No. 4308, Ordinance No. 3241, Ordinance No. <br /> 3412, Ordinance No. 4224, and all other ordinances and parts of ordinances <br /> in conflict therewith are hereby repealed; PROVIDED said Ordinance No. 4308 <br /> which adopted the 1967 Edition of the Uniform Building Code shall remain <br /> effective and shall govern all interpretations that may arise as to all permits <br /> issued by the Building Inspector or the Building Department of the City of <br /> Everett for construction and improvements commenced prior to the effective <br /> date of this ordinance, or for permits which were issued prior to the effective <br /> date of this ordinance and the provisions thereof shall be applicable to determine <br /> compliance with such permits and with said building code. <br /> get:_4( <br /> • <br /> ATTEST: MAYOR <br /> DEPTrY City Clerk <br /> Passed: 7 _� 7 <br /> Valid: 7 7 / <br /> Published: g' / <br /> Page 4 <br />
