• <br /> • <br /> Section 185 . 46. 52 . 132 Penalty: •Atly 'violation of Sections ' <br /> 46. 52 . 101 to 46. 52. 131 shall constitute a misdemeanor and, upon <br /> conviction, shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $300 . 00 <br /> or by imprisonment in the County Jail for a period not to exceed <br /> 60 days , or by both such fine and imprisonment. <br /> Chapter 46 . 61 <br /> Rules of the Road <br /> OBEDIENCE TO AND EFFECT OF TRAFFIC LAWS <br /> Section 191. Statutes adopted. The following statutes are hereby <br /> adopted by reference. <br /> RCW 46 . 61. 005 Provisions of chapter refer to vehicles <br /> upon the highways - Exceptions. <br /> RCW 46. 61. 010 Required obedience to traffic laws . <br /> Section 192. 46. 61. 012 Police Officers and Members of the Fire <br /> Department Authorized to Direct Traffic. Officers of the Police <br /> Department or such officers as are assigned by the Chief of Police <br /> and members of the Fire Department are hereby authorized to direct <br /> all traffic by voice, hand, or signal in conformance with traffic <br /> laws, provided that, in the event of a fire or other emergency <br /> or to expedite traffic or to safeguard pedestrians , officers of <br /> the Police Department and members of the Fire Department may <br /> direct traffic as conditions may require notwithstanding the <br /> provisions of the traffic laws. <br /> Section 193 . 46. 61. 016 Obedience to Police Officers and Flagmen. <br /> No person shall wilfully fail or refuse to comply with any lawful <br /> order or direction of any duly authorized flagman or any police <br /> officer or any member of the Fire Department invested by law <br /> with authority to direct, control or regulate traffic. <br /> Section 193-A. 46. 61. 018 Disregard of barriers , warning signals <br /> and Flagmen. No person shall disregard warning signals or barriers <br /> lawfully placed in a street by the City of Everett, Snohomish <br /> County, or the State of Washington, nor the warning signal of a <br /> flagman stationed near railroad crossings or other inherently <br /> dangerous places, or where workmen are employed upon the street. <br /> Section 194. Statutes adopted. The following statutes are hereby <br /> adopted by reference : <br /> RCW 46 . 61. 020 Refusal to give information to or cooperate <br /> with officer. <br /> RCW 46. 61. 026 Persons riding animals or driving animal- <br /> drawn vehicles. <br /> RCW 46 . 61. 030 Persons working on highways--Exceptions . <br /> RCW 46. 61. 035 Authorized emergency vehicles . <br /> TRAFFIC SIGNS, SIGNALS AND MARKINGS <br /> RCW 46. 61. 050 Obedience to and required traffic-control <br /> devices. <br /> RCW 46. 61. 055 Traffic-control signal legend. <br /> Section 197. Statutes adopted. The following statute is hereby <br /> adopted by reference. <br /> RCW 46. 61. 055 Traffic-control signal legend. <br /> Section 197-A 46. 61. 061 Pedestrian-control signals . Whenever <br /> special pedestrian-control signals exhibiting the words "Walk" or <br /> "Don't Walk" are in place such signals shall indicate as follows : <br /> (1) WALK - Pedestrians facing such signal may proceed across <br /> the roadway in the direction of the signal and shall be given <br /> the right of way by the drivers of all vehicles . <br /> -24- <br />
