• <br /> any bridge or approach thereto beyond the bridge signal , gate , <br /> or barrier after a bridge operation signal indication has been <br /> given. <br /> (b) No pedestrian shall pass through, around, over, or <br /> under any crossing gate or barrier at a railroad grade crossing <br /> or bridge while such gate or barrier is closed or is being opened <br /> or closed. <br /> Section 209 . Statutes adopted. The following statutes are hereby <br /> adopted by reference. <br /> RCW 46. 61. 255 Pedestrians soliciting rides or business . <br /> RCW 46. 61. 260 Driving through safety zone prohibited. <br /> Section 210. 46 . 61. 265 Blind pedestrians . It shall be unlawful <br /> for the driver of any vehicle to drive into or upon any crosswalk <br /> while there is on such crosswalk, any pedestrian wholly or <br /> partially blind, crossing or attempting to cross the roadway, <br /> if such pedestrian indicates his intention to cross or of <br /> continuing on, with a timely warning by holding up or waving a <br /> white cane or walking stick. The failure of any such pedestrian <br /> so to signal shall not deprive him of the right of way accorded <br /> to him by other laws. <br /> Section 211. 46. 61. 270 Use of device for blind by others <br /> prohibited. It shall be unlawful for any person who is not <br /> wholly or partially blind to use a white cane or walking stick <br /> for the purpose of securing the right of way accorded by <br /> Section 46 . 61. 265 Everett City Code, to wholly or partially <br /> blind people. <br /> Section 211-A. 46. 61. 223 Not to obstruct traffic. (a) No <br /> person shall be one of a crowd congregated in any street in <br /> such a manner as to obstruct traffic, nor refuse to disperse <br /> when so congregated, upon being requested so to do by any <br /> police officer. <br /> (b) No person shall willfully cause persons to congregate <br /> and thereby interfere with or obstruct traffic. <br /> (c) No person shall stand or loiter in such a manner as <br /> to interfere with or obstruct traffic. <br /> (d) No person shall stop or loiter on a street crossing. <br /> TURNING AND STARTING AND SIGNALS <br /> ON STOPPING AND TURNING <br /> Section 212. Statutes adopted. The following statute is hereby <br /> adopted by reference. <br /> RCW 46 . 61. 290 Required position and method of turning <br /> at intersections. <br /> Section 213. 46 . 61. 293 Stop when traffic obstructed. No driver <br /> shall enter an intersection or a marked crosswalk unless there <br /> is sufficient space on the other side of the intersection or <br /> crosswalk to accommodate the vehicle he is operating without <br /> obstructing the passage of other vehicles or pedestrians , <br /> notwithstanding any traffic-control signal indication to proceed. <br /> Section 214 . Statute adopted. The following statute is hereby <br /> adopted by reference. <br /> RCW 46 . 61, 295 "U" turns on curve or crest of grade prohibited. <br /> Section 215. 46 . 61. 297 "U" turns - restrictions . It shall be <br /> unlawful' for a person operating a vehicle upon the streets of the <br /> city to turn the same so as to proceed in the opposite direction <br /> at any point other than a street intersection or street end or <br /> to make such "U" turns on any street or intersection in the Central <br /> Business District as defined in this code. <br /> -29- <br />
