18 . At any place where official sigxis prohibit stopping. <br /> (b) Stand or park a vehicle, whether occupied or not, except <br /> momentarily to pick up or discharge a passenger or passengers : <br /> 1. In front of a public or private driveway or alley <br /> or within five feet of the end of the curb radius leading thereto; <br /> 2. Within fifteen feet of a fire hydrant; <br /> 3. Within twenty feet of a crosswalk; <br /> 4. Within thirty feet upon the approach to any flashing <br /> signal, stop sign, yield sign, or traffic-control signal located <br /> at the side of a roadway: Provided, that the foregoing shall <br /> not apply where designated parking meter zones indicate otherwise; <br /> 5. Within twenty feet of the driveway entrance to any <br /> fire station and on the side of a street opposite the entrance <br /> to any fire station within seventy-five feet of said entrance ; <br /> 6. Within any space signed and marked as a fire exit; <br /> 7. In a passenger load zone; <br /> 8. In a truck loading zone during the hours the zone <br /> restriction is in effect: Provided, that vehicles which are <br /> properly licensed as trucks , marked and modified in accordance <br /> with the State of Washington Department of Motor Vehicles ' <br /> Rules and Regulations , may stand or be parked in a truck load <br /> zone for the purpose of the expeditious unloading and delivery <br /> or pickup and loading of material during the hours the zone <br /> restriction is in effect, and then in no case shall the stop <br /> for loading or its unloading of materials exceed thirty minutes ; <br /> 9 . In a loading zone during the hours the zone <br /> restriction is in effect: Provided, that vehicles may stand or <br /> be parked in a load zone for the purpose of expeditious unloading <br /> and loading of merchandise or passengers during the hours the zone <br /> restriction is in effect, and then in no case shall the stop <br /> for loading or unloading of merchandise or passengers exceed <br /> thirty minutes ; <br /> 10. In any space reserved for vehicles for hire : Provided <br /> that authorized vehicles may stand or park in such space; <br /> 11. In a funeral zone : Provided, that funeral zones <br /> shall be reserved primarily for the use of vehicles being used <br /> in connection with a funeral including vehicles owned and operated <br /> by members of the immediate family of the deceased. Signs , <br /> approved by the City Traffic Engineer and furnished by the <br /> management of the funeral parlor or church adjacent to any such <br /> zone, shall be placed on the parking strip immediately adjacent <br /> to such zone. During all times when such signs are posted <br /> no person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle, other than <br /> those mentioned above, in any such funeral zone except for the <br /> purpose of loading or unloading persons or commodities used <br /> in connection with the funeral; <br /> 12. In a city vehicle zone, except city owned vehicles ; <br /> or; <br /> 13. At any place where official signs prohibit standing. <br /> (c) Park a vehicle, whether occupied or not, except <br /> temporarily for the purpose of and while actually engaged in <br /> loading or unloading merchandise or passengers : <br /> 1. Within fifty feet of the nearest rail of a railroad <br /> crossing; <br /> -35- <br />
