• <br /> • <br /> CITY OF EVERETT, WASHINGTON <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 97- 70 <br /> AN ORDINANCE of the City of Everett, Wash- <br /> ington, authorizing the issuance of $258 ,000 .00 <br /> of "City of Everett Parking System Revenue <br /> Bonds , Series A, " $262 , 000 . 00 of "City of <br /> Everett Parking System Revenue Bonds , Series B, " <br /> and $477 ,000 . 00 of "City of Everett Parking <br /> System Revenue Bonds , Series C , " of the City <br /> for the purpose of providing a part of the funds <br /> with which to carry out the comprehensive plan <br /> for the provision of off-street parking space <br /> and facilities for motor vehicles within the <br /> corporate limits of the City as specified and <br /> adopted by Ordinance No. 47-69 and ordered to <br /> be carried out by Ordinance No. 62-69; fixing <br /> the date , form, terms and maturities of each <br /> series of bonds to be issued; creating a special <br /> fund for the payment of the principal of and <br /> interest thereon; creating certain additional <br /> funds and accounts; providing for the public <br /> sale of the Series A Bonds and Series B Bonds <br /> and providing for the sale of the Series C Bonds <br /> to Wm. P . Harper & Son & Company of Seattle, <br /> Washington. <br /> WHEREAS , pursuant to Chapter 35 . 86 of the Revised Code of <br /> Washington as amended by Chapter 204 , Laws of 1969 , 1st Ex. Sess . , <br /> the City of Everett, Washington, for strictly municipal purposes , <br /> by Ordinance No. 47-69 , passed by the City Council and approved by <br /> the Mayor on November 26 , 1969 , specified and adopted a comprehensive <br /> plan for the provision of off-street parking space and facilities for <br /> motor vehicles within the corporate limits of the City consisting of <br /> the establishment of one (1) 3-1/2 level off-street parking structure <br /> containing approximately 510 parking spaces within the central business <br /> district area of the City of Everett to be constructed on certain <br /> described land to be acquired therefor, estimated the cost thereof <br /> as near as may be, provided for the financing of the subject facility <br /> in part by the creation of a local improvement district to assess a <br /> part of the cost of the improvement against the properties specially <br /> benefited thereby to be included in such local improvement district, <br /> the balance of such cost to be paid from the proceeds received from <br />
