ORDINANCE NO. 84-70 <br /> AN ORDINANCE forbidding advertising on <br /> City vehicles. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett finds that <br /> printed advertising on City conveyances for the general public is the <br /> grant of a special privilege to a private party, and contrary to the overall <br /> public interest, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Council finds that printed advertising creates visual <br /> clutter to the environment in public places, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: <br /> It shall be unlawful to place commercial advertising matter in or upon <br /> any vehicle which is the property of the City of Everett.
