Section 7 . There is hereby created and established in the <br /> office of the City Treasurer of the City of Everett, for the district, <br /> a special fund heretofore designated and referred to as the Local Im- <br /> provement Fund, into which fund shall be deposited the proceeds from <br /> the sale of revenue warrants drawn against the fund which may be issued <br /> and sold by the City and collections pertaining to assessments , and <br /> against which fund shall be issued cash warrants to the owner or owners <br /> of the properties to be acquired and to the contractor or contractors <br /> in payment for the work to be done by them in connection with the <br /> improvement, and against which fund cash warrants shall be issued in <br /> payment of the proportionate share of all other items of expense in <br /> connection with the improvement. <br /> Section 8 . The final assessment roll for Local Improvement <br /> District No. ///4) shall be filed and open to inspection in the office <br /> of the City Clerk in the City Hall, Everett, Washington, and a public <br /> hearing upon such roll shall be held before the City Council at a <br /> meeting of such City Council to be held in the Council Chambers in <br /> the City Hall, Everett, Washington, at / 6 o' clock3 .m. (PST) on <br /> January 21, 1970 . Any person desiring to object to any assessment <br /> shown on such roll must file a written protest against such assessment <br /> with the City Clerk prior to the date and time of said hearing. At <br /> the time and place fixed and at such other times to which the hearing <br /> may be continued, the City Council will sit for the purpose of con- <br /> sidering protests duly filed and for the purpose of considering such <br /> roll and at such hearing or any adjournment thereof, the City Council <br /> may correct, change or modify the roll or any part thereof or set aside <br /> the roll and order a new assessment and may then, by ordinance, approve <br /> it. When property has been entered originally on the roll and the <br /> assessment upon the roll is not raised, no objections thereto shall <br /> be considered by the City Council or by any court of appeals unless <br /> the objection is made in writing and filed with the City Clerk prior <br /> to the date fixed for such hearing upon the roll. <br /> -7- <br />
