• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. ;57,2. <br /> AN ORDINANCE authorizing capital acquisition <br /> of real property located at 3014 Wetmore <br /> in the City of Everett for general municipal <br /> purposes and appropriating $110, 000. 00 <br /> in addition to the 1969 budget for the City <br /> of Everett for the purchase of said property and <br /> declaring an emergency to exist. <br /> WHEREAS, at the time of making the budget for 1969, it could <br /> not have been reasonably foreseen that expansion and additional activities <br /> undertaken by the City of Everett would require additional office space <br /> for City personnel, and <br /> WHEREAS, the property located at 3014 Wetmore, which is more <br /> specifically described as: <br /> Lots 24, 25 and 26, Block 717, Plat of <br /> Everett, Snohomish County, State of Washington, <br /> is the property of Haskell Corporation and by virtue of their change of <br /> business location is currently for sale, and <br /> WHEREAS, said real property is located on both sides of property <br /> owned by the City of Everett and is directly contiguous to the Everett City <br /> Hall to the north thereof, and <br /> WHEREAS, said property is required for the public use and nec- <br /> essity of the citizens of the City of Everett for general municipal purposes <br /> and, if unavailable by purchase or lease will be condemned, and <br /> WHEREAS, said property may be acquired for $110, 000. 00, which <br /> in accordance with appraisals and comparison with other sales in the <br /> general vicinity, is a reasonable cost to the City, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: The sum of $110, 000. 00 is hereby appropriated and <br /> allocated, out of unanticipated revenues, to the 1969 budget for the City of <br /> Everett, which shall be in addition to that amount otherwise budgeted for the <br /> year 1969 for the purpose of capital acquisition of property located at 3014 <br /> Wetmore, and more specifically described as: <br /> Lots 24, 25 and 26, Block 717, Plat of <br /> Everett, Snohomish County, State of Wash- <br /> ington. <br /> Section 2: Said property shall be acquired by purchase, lease or <br /> condemnation. <br /> Section 3: The expenditure above provided shall be paid from <br /> available funds or by the issuance of warrants, or emergency warrants, <br /> as the case may be, and shall be paid from any moneys on hand in the City <br />
