The project <br /> site is located at the southwest comer of 37'�" Street and Colby Avmue in the combined sutitary <br /> sewer/stortn drainage area(NE '/. of Section 30, T29N, RSE, W.MJ. The subject property!us <br /> an existing single-femily rcsidenc�and a two story commacial building with a parking area off <br /> the existing paved dley. The existing single-family residence(SFR)will be removed ro rtuke <br /> move for additionel parldng for the remodeled commercial building. The site slopes dovm to <br /> Colby Avenue. 7'he e�sting drains and downspouts are connected to the sanitary sewer in Colby <br /> Ave. <br /> DEVELOPED CONDI'fIONS <br /> The project proposes to remove the existing SFR, construct a new puking area for S cus with a <br /> driveway connecting Colby Ave. and the alley, and the rcrtrodel af the ad�ting building. PubGc <br /> Works has indicated that they would like the existing curb cut on 37°i Street to t�ranoved md <br /> to reroute the stortn drainage ta the existing saniwy sewa located in the alley. Storm wata <br /> runoff from the weataiy h�lf oi the building a�d the pulring area adjaant to the alley will be <br /> tight-lined to a proposed catch basin(CB 2) �ocued betwea�the building and the dlry. Thia <br /> storm drainage will gravity flow into the exieting 12" senitary sewer. <br /> Stortn drainage from the new parking area and the easterly h�lf of the building will gravity 9ow <br /> to a proposod catch baain(CB 1)locatal ju.s�.west of Colby Ave. From thia CB the storm <br /> drainage will be pumped to CB 2 from whir.n it will flow iMo the sanituy xwer. <br /> PUMP SIZWG <br /> A sump/sewage ejector pump will be insulled in a concrete type 2-54" catch basin. The capacity <br /> of the pump will meet or e;t..ad the calculated 100-year storm evmt for the �roa that dreim to <br /> the CB. Runoff rates wr_� �Iculated using SIIiJH and SCS Curve Number methodologia in <br /> "Stortn SFIED" by Engrnious Systems(sa attached ezhibit A). The pump wrn and <br /> spxifications as wdl as calculations for the total dyrumic head at the pump disch�rge are <br /> attached as exhibit B.
