The Agency will, to the greatest extent feasible, provide employment opportunities <br /> to those individuals. <br /> The Agency shall comply with all the Section 3 reporting requirements. <br /> I. Equal Opportunity <br /> The Agency and its contractors performing work funded in whole or in part under this Loan <br /> Agreement are subject to and shall at all times comply with applicable state and federal <br /> statutes and laws, as may hereafter be amended, including but not limited to: Title VI of <br /> the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (P.L. 88-352) and 24 CFR Parts 1 and 2 (Nondiscrimination in <br /> Programs or Activities Receiving Federal Financial Assistance); Title VIII of Civil Rights <br /> Act of 1968 (P.L. 90-284) and 24 CFR § 115 (Nondiscrimination in Housing); Executive <br /> Order No. 11063 (Equal Opportunity in Housing); Section 109 of the Housing and <br /> Community Development Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. § 5309) and 24 CFR § 570.602 <br /> (Nondiscrimination in any Program or Activity); Executive Order No. 11246, as amended; <br /> 41 CFR Part 60 (Regarding Nondiscrimination in Employment); Executive Orders Nos. <br /> 11625, 12432, and 12138; Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (29 <br /> U.S.C. § 794) (handicapped); The Age Discrimination Act of 1975 (P.L. 94-135), as <br /> amended; Discrimination Prohibitions under Chapter 49.60 RCW; and the Americans with <br /> Disabilities Act of 1990 42 U.S.C. § 12101 et seq. and implementing regulations at 28 CFR <br /> Part 35, as amended. <br /> The Agency agrees that it will assist and cooperate actively with the City, HUD, and the <br /> Secretary of Labor in obtaining the compliance of contractors and subcontractors with the <br /> statutes and laws referred to in this section of the Loan Agreement and the rules, <br /> regulations, and relevant orders of the Secretary of Labor; that it will furnish the City, HUD, <br /> and the Secretary of Labor such information as they may require for the supervision of <br /> such compliance; and that it will otherwise assist the City, HUD, and the Department of <br /> Labor in the discharge of the Department of Labor's primary responsibility for securing <br /> compliance. The Agency will also ensure the compliance of contractors and <br /> subcontractors with state requirements pertaining to equal opportunity. <br /> J. Non-Discrimination <br /> It is the policy of the County to reject discrimination which denies equal treatment to any <br /> individual because of his or her race, creed, color, national origin, families with children, <br /> marital status, sexual orientation, age, honorably discharged veteran or military status, or <br /> the presence of any sensory, mental, or physical disability or the use of a trained dog <br /> guide or service animal by a person with a disability as provided in Washington's Law <br /> against Discrimination, Chapter 49.60 RCW, and the Snohomish County Human Rights <br /> Ordinance, Chapter 2.460 SCC. These laws protect against specific forms of <br /> discrimination in employment, credit transactions, public accommodation, housing, county <br /> facilities and services, and county contracts. <br /> The Agency shall comply with Chapter 2.460 SCC, which is incorporated herein by this <br /> reference. Execution of this Loan Agreement constitutes a certification by the Agency of <br /> the Agency's compliance with the requirements of Chapter 2.460 SCC.
