Attachment A Scope of Services The Service Provider will provide support of entrepreneurs and inventors by providing direct technical assistance to entrepreneurs located in Everett or establishing their business in Everett and will identify mentors who can be of assistance to the entrepreneurs and inventors in Everett. The Service Provider will create outreach activities to identify and encourage entrepreneurs and inventors by providing presentations to community and government groups about the availability of support for entrepreneurs in the area and will create publicity to promote entrepreneurial opportunities in the area. The Service Provider will develop resources in the community that aid entrepreneurs and inventors to succeed by conducting activities that identify potential investors for entrepreneurs and provide a means for entrepreneurs to be introduced to investors as they become ready for investment. Initial event will be June 13, 2016. Service provider will establish a marketing company (Slingshot) which will provide a means of market access for inventors. Service Provider will promote the availability of Slingshot to inventors in Everett. The Service Provider will work to establish a makerspace in the Everett area. The Service Provider will partner with Education Institutions, Port of Everett, Economic Alliance of Snohomish County, Business Leaders and others to complete activities which will contribute to a sustainable entrepreneurial environment in Everett including working with WSU students to encourage entrepreneurial activity in the area; work with the EvCC AMTEC program to evaluate commercial potential of activities of the students capstone projects. Service Provider is granted a permanent non-exclusive license to re-use intellectual property created by Service provider under this Agreement, so long as the re-used intellectual property does not reference the City unless the City gives permission.
