WASHINGTON <br /> neglect as children,histories of domestic violence,chemical dependency,mental illness, CPS involvement, lack of <br /> education or employment skills and reliance on public support. <br /> How and when service will be provided: <br /> Family Support Coaches meet with all teen parents at least once per week for at least one hour.These meetings are <br /> conducted on-site in the family's home and are scheduled around parents'school or employment schedule. Teen life <br /> skills courses are provided on-site once per week. Dinner and childcare are provided for all life skills courses to <br /> remove barriers to attendance.Other services, such as one-on-one meetings with an Education and Employment <br /> Specialist or a Child and Family Specialist,are provided on-site on an as-needed basis. <br /> Staffing: <br /> All services are provided by professional staff members.Housing Hope maintains staffing levels for this project <br /> consistent with best practices identified by the Sound Families Project research: 1:10 case load with specialized <br /> support staff for high need families. All Housing Hope services staff is required to have a Bachelor's-level degree in <br /> Social Work or a related field,or be in the process of completing the degree,preferably with experience providing <br /> services to low-income, at-risk or homeless teens or young families. The current staff for this proposed project all <br /> has at least five(5)years' experience working with this population;the lead Family Support Coach has over 26 <br /> years of experience working with youth,persons with histories of domestic violence and persons with histories of <br /> mental health issues. All staff are expected to complete training related to Motivational Interviewing,the Adverse <br /> Childhood Experiences Study(trauma),substance abuse recovery,domestic violence,mental health triage, DSHS <br /> benefits,Child Welfare System,and other specialized topics relating to homelessness. <br /> 2019 Human Needs Contracts 9 <br />
