EVERETT <br /> mom WASHINGTON <br /> City of Everett Human Needs Grant <br /> January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019 <br /> Exhibit A <br /> Program Summary <br /> Organization&Program: Faith Lutheran Church: Everett Hot Meal Coalition <br /> Faith Lutheran Church of Everett is a dynamic force in its neighborhood, community and the world <br /> beyond due to its people, programs and facilities. The Church is a youth-friendly place that welcomes <br /> people of all backgrounds resulting in a constantly growing congregation that people want to join and <br /> spread the word of Jesus here and around the world. Mission: The mission of Faith Lutheran Church is <br /> to utilize the rich blend of God's people, programs and facilities to spread the word of Jesus,through <br /> witness and service, in our neighborhood, community and around the world. Note: There are no <br /> prerequisites or requirements of people to participate or join in Faith Lutheran Church programs. All <br /> people are welcome! Faith Lutheran Church is a not-for-profit 501c3 organization (Federal Tax ID No. <br /> 91-0824596). <br /> Everett Hot Meal Coalition is a project of Faith Lutheran Church in Everett and consists of 12 hot meal <br /> providers who serve approximately 1,675 free nutritious hot meals to all people each week in the City of <br /> Everett. Coalition meal programs work together to share resources, food stocks,supplies, and to help <br /> people in need of food, social services, support, and community. Our primary objective is to reduce <br /> hunger and we do this by providing free nutritious hot meals to all people every day in the city of <br /> Everett. In addition to meals, we provide a safe place for people to gather and obtain information about <br /> shelters, clothing, medical &addiction service programs,job assistance, hygiene supplies, shower <br /> services and other social services. We provide a community to people in need. <br /> Everett Hot Meal Coalition provides nutritious hot meals. Meals are provided 7 days a week in churches. Program <br /> components are meals and all aspects of providing a meal to 80 to 150 people at a time(food, supplies,cooking, <br /> organizing volunteer support,etc.). Meal program structure includes scheduling,planning, organizing and serving <br /> hot nutritious meals at a scheduled time and place and coalition members are adept in their ability to serve a meal, <br /> handle crowds, and provide support to people in need. We serve meals to all people. Coalition meal clients include <br /> families, children,youth,women and men,the elderly,veterans, disabled,the "working poor," and the homeless. <br /> 2019 Human Needs Contracts 1 <br />
