• ORDINANCE NO. --w C� AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING MINIMUM REQUIRE- MENTS FOR THE PROTECTION OF LIFE, LIMB, HEALTH, PROPERTY, SAFETY AND WELFARE OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND THE OWNERS AND OCCUPANTS OF RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS, AND FOR SAID PURPOSE PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF THE 1967 EDITION OF THE "UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, VOLUME 3, HOUSING", AS PREPARED BY THE INTER- NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS. WHEREAS, the City of Everett now has on file in the office of the City Clerk at the City Hall and has had on file for some time prior hereto for examination by the public three (3) copies of the 1967 Edition of the "Uniform Building Code, Volume 3, Housing", as prepared by the Inter- national Conference of Building Officials in compliance with the laws of the State of Washington (RCW 35. 21. 180) and the Charter of the City of Everett (Section 3. 5). NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. The 1967 Edition of the "Uniform Building Code, Volume 3, Housing", as prepared by the International Conference of Building Officials, which by this reference is made part of this ordinance as though set forth fully at length herein, be and hereby is adopted as the housing code and ordinance of the City of Everett establishing minimum requirements for the protection of life, limb, health, property, safety and welfare of the general public and the owners and occupants of residential buildings. Section 2. That three (3) copies of said 1967 Edition of the "Uniform Building Code, Volume 3, Housing", as prepared by the Inter- national Conference of Building Officials shall be left on file with the City Clerk of the City of Everett for use and examination by the public in compliance with the laws of the State of Washington (RCW 35. 21. 180) and the Charter of the City of Everett (Section 3. 5). Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and hereby are repealed. - 1-
