• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. --w C� <br /> AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING MINIMUM REQUIRE- <br /> MENTS FOR THE PROTECTION OF LIFE, LIMB, <br /> HEALTH, PROPERTY, SAFETY AND WELFARE OF <br /> THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND THE OWNERS AND <br /> OCCUPANTS OF RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS, AND FOR <br /> SAID PURPOSE PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF <br /> THE 1967 EDITION OF THE "UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, <br /> VOLUME 3, HOUSING", AS PREPARED BY THE INTER- <br /> NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett now has on file in the office of the <br /> City Clerk at the City Hall and has had on file for some time prior hereto <br /> for examination by the public three (3) copies of the 1967 Edition of the <br /> "Uniform Building Code, Volume 3, Housing", as prepared by the Inter- <br /> national Conference of Building Officials in compliance with the laws of the <br /> State of Washington (RCW 35. 21. 180) and the Charter of the City of Everett <br /> (Section 3. 5). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1. The 1967 Edition of the "Uniform Building Code, <br /> Volume 3, Housing", as prepared by the International Conference of <br /> Building Officials, which by this reference is made part of this ordinance <br /> as though set forth fully at length herein, be and hereby is adopted as the <br /> housing code and ordinance of the City of Everett establishing minimum <br /> requirements for the protection of life, limb, health, property, safety and <br /> welfare of the general public and the owners and occupants of residential <br /> buildings. <br /> Section 2. That three (3) copies of said 1967 Edition of the <br /> "Uniform Building Code, Volume 3, Housing", as prepared by the Inter- <br /> national Conference of Building Officials shall be left on file with the City <br /> Clerk of the City of Everett for use and examination by the public in <br /> compliance with the laws of the State of Washington (RCW 35. 21. 180) and <br /> the Charter of the City of Everett (Section 3. 5). <br /> Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict <br /> herewith be and hereby are repealed. <br /> - 1- <br />
