July 24, 2019 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 12:30 p.m., <br /> July 24, 2019, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore Historic City <br /> Hall, Council President Bader presiding. Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor <br /> Franklin and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Vogeli, Bader, <br /> Stonecipher, and Moore were present. <br /> Council Member Moore led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the July 17, 2019, City Council meeting were approved as printed. <br /> Council Members Roberts and Bader abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> OATHS— POLICE OFFICERS <br /> Moved by Council Member Murphy, seconded by Council Member Tuohy, to <br /> concur with the appointments of Erich Slaybaugh and Shane Thrift as new police <br /> officers. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The City Clerk administered the oath of office, and Mayor Franklin presented the <br /> officers with their badges. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Murphy provided a liaison report on his attendance last evening <br /> at the Pinehurst-Beverly Park Neighborhood meeting. He also stated that in <br /> response to the recent moratorium, he encouraged city staff to contact Housing <br /> Hope and the developer to discuss the availability of the former K-Mart site as a <br /> possible site for a future supportive housing project. <br /> 219 <br />
