July 1, 2019 City of Everett Electrical Division—Permit Services In May of 2009, Seahurst Electric was contracted to do work at 6518 Cady Rd in Everett,WA for Jim & Shelly Fine. This was repair work due to vandalism that had taken place in their home. We were asked to install 4 new outlets in the kitchen at that time instead of repairing the old outlets which were damaged by the vandalism. After the initial inspection on September 4, 2009, a correction was written up to add hard-wired smoke detectors at all bedrooms,just outside of the bedrooms and to add plugs in the sunroom per NEC requirements.The homeowner agreed to purchase the smoke detectors for the home. Our electrician, Ross Prather went out to install the smoke detectors, however the homeowner had purchased the incorrect detectors. In January of 2011, Seahurst Electric applied for an extension to the permit due to the homeowner being involved in a serious car accident. The homeowner was not expected to live and was hospitalized for many months before coming home to a hospital bed in their living room. Ross eventually went out and completed the installation of the correct hard-wired smoke detectors that the homeowner had purchased. At that time, Seahurst Electric was under the impression that the homeowner was going to call in for the final inspection. The final inspection was never called in due to the homeowner's recovery from the car accident at that time. We are now asking for the final inspection to be completed at 6518 Cady Rd.
