AN ORDINANCE fixing and determining the number, designation, and compensation of the various officers, assistants, deputies, and employees of the City of Everett; prescribing their duties; providing for medical services, repealing Ordinance No. 42.63 of the City of Eve -ett and repealing Chapter 1.16 and 1.24, City Code of the City of Everett, and establishing code number; and declaring that said ordinance shall take effect January 1, 1969. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITYOF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That beginning January 1, 1969, the number, designation and compensation and duties of the officers, assistants, deputies and employees of the City of Everett shall be as in this ordinance, provided, except as otherwise fixed by charter. (1.16.0051 Section 2: CITY ATTORNEY DEPARTMENT - The number, designation and compen- sation of employees in the City Attorney's Department shall be under the direction of the City Attorney and shall perform such duties as he shall direct. 1 City Attorney 1600.00 per month 1 Assistant City Attorney 1250.00 per month Relief Steno PT 1.60 - 2.25 per hour (1.16.010) Section 3: CITY HALL DEPARTMENT - The number, designation and compensation of employees in the City Hall Department shall be as hereinafter set forth. The employees in the City Hall Department shall be under the direction of the Mayor and shall perform such duties as he shall direct. 2 Janitors R29.1 513.00 - 600.00 per month Day laborers 2.50 per hour (1.16.020) Section 4: CITY CLERK-COMPTROLLER - The number, designation and compensa- tion of employees in the City Clerk-Comptroller Department shall be as hereinafter set forth. It shall be the duty of such officers, deputies and assistants to perform the duties pertaining to the office and as directed by the City Clerk-Comptroller or the Mayor.
