The plans should indicate a schedule of equipment that is located under the Type I and II hoods, meeting <br /> the requirements of IMC sections 507.2.1 and 507.2.2. The wall, ceiling, floor (if applicable) and roof <br /> construction adjacent to the Type I hood �.nd Type I hood duct should be identified. <br /> 2. Permanent roof access for all mechanical equipment should be shown on the drawings per IMC section <br /> 306.5. A roof platform is required if equipment is located on a roof slope of 3:12 or greater, per IMC <br /> 306.5.1. <br /> �pe I (Tvpe I� Hood mechanical permit submittal reauirements <br /> 1. All new installations of Type I hoods and ducts reqwre the following drawin9s: <br /> o Schematic cross-section through hood at a scale of '/z"=1'-0" indicating equipmznt served by the <br /> hood. The sedion should also indicate the duct as it exits through the building, floor(s) above, and <br /> roof. Include a se:.tion through the exhaust fan, make-up air supply, and indicate all clearances <br /> and dimensions required by the mechanical code from adjacent construction. The section should <br /> also include details for: <br /> i. The specific listed material and fire-rated enclosure required h•/the mechanical and building <br /> codes, with detailed drawings of any clearance reduction methods allowed per the <br /> mechanical code. <br /> ii.
