<br /> ORDINANCE NO.
<br /> AN ORDINANCE levying the general taxes for the City of Everett for
<br /> the fiscal year connencing January 1, 1969, on all taxable property,
<br /> both real and personal, in said city, subject to taxation thereon,
<br /> for the purpose of raising a portion of the revenue to carry on the
<br /> different departments of said city for the ensuing year, as required by the
<br /> Charter of the City of Everett and the laws of the State of Washington;
<br /> prescribing and apportioning the same into the different funds of said
<br /> city for the fiscal year, and providing for the collection thereof.
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett duly and regularly
<br /> adopted as required by law, the estimate of the amounts required to
<br /> meet the public expense of said city for the ensuing year and the amount
<br /> to be raised by taxation in said city for said ensuing year from sources
<br /> other than direct taxation, and
<br /> WHEREAS, notice that said city council tentatively completed the budget
<br /> for the year 1969 and that a copy of said budget would be furnished any
<br /> taxpayer of the City of Everett on application thereof, and that the
<br /> City Council of said city would meet in the Council Chambers of the City
<br /> Hall at 9 a.m. on the 7th day of October, 1968 for the purpose of fixing
<br /> the final budget and determining the tax levy and that any taxpayer might
<br /> appear thereat and be heard for or against any part of said budget, was
<br /> published in the official newspaper in all respects as required by law, and
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett will be required to pay the sum of $340,990.00
<br /> during the year 1969 upon its General Obligation 1967 Street Improvement
<br /> 3or_ds for payment of principle and interest, and
<br /> WHEREAS, the electors of -eh' City of Everett havo voted a special Park Levy
<br /> in rhe sum of $1,200,000 ar:d a special levy for Fire Stations and Paint
<br /> Shop in the sum of $500,000, AND
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, did on the 9th day of October, 1967, meet in the
<br /> Council Chambers for the said purpose and having heard all persons arpea
<br /> in favor of or against said proposed levy, did then and there make, determir
<br /> and decide the amo'int of taxes to be placed. uo_gin the current ass•essm, n-. 11

<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORD' .T:
